After much anticipation, the second punitive expedition against the pirates is underway. A joint mission of Havvacor, Banigoth Horde and Khar-Hurrians, over 60 Class I and Class II battleships have been gathered to seek and destroy any pirate vessel they encounter, though their primary target is The Arrow. Some months ago, this fearsome idiranium-plated pirate flagship had made such quick work of the previous punitive expedition, sending shockwaves across the Galaxy. This time, the fleet is also outfitted with Idiranium shields and large caliber plasma guns, which is why it took so long to finally deploy.
The commander of the mission is Admiral Babur, battle-scarred Khar-Hurrian warrior with many campaigns under his belt. Unlike most of his people, Babur also has first-hand experience with conflict in this very Galaxy, having first served as a mercenary in the Defense of Havvacor, and later in Banigoth employ during the suppression of the Rebellion on Planet Banimon. His second in command is our old friend Dizzigoth, who is incidentally not very happy about being passed over for the overall leadership of the expedition, but determined to make things work for the glory of The Horde.
After a short search, Admiral Babur’s fleet encounters The Arrow near Planet Artemisium. With Havvacor-like mostly desert conditions, this planet is known for being obscured by a field of debris from prehistoric meteorites, making it a perfect place to hide a large ship like The Arrow. Completely surprised, The Arrow managed to shoot off a quick volley before escaping towards the surface of the planet, with Babur’s fleet in pursuit. Once down there, the pursuers are suddenly faced with a formidable network of defensive fortifications reminiscent of Havvacor itself. Prudently, Admiral Babur decides to break of pursuit and blockade the planet while awaiting reinforcements.
