The Rainmakers

After the loss of Baniport, means of resupply from Havvacor have dried up, and the Revolutionary Army has been forced to look to other means. Occasional drops of smuggled goods have been complemented by some scavenging and ingenuity in order to keep the troops relatively supplied and battle-ready, but none of it is nearly enough.

One particular division, the infamous 18th Armoured has been outfitted almost entirely from refurbished tech, most of which had to be lifted up from the bottom of the Big River. And while their vehicles may not be much to look at, the 18th has quickly developed a terrifying reputation with their hit and run tactics against Banigoth targets. Nicknamed “Rainmakers” because of a preference for fighting under heavy rain or fog, their defiance is an inspiration to what remains of the Revolutionary Army. In the new world order, everybody may be equal, but living war heroes who improbably win battle after battle in an otherwise losing war are afforded many perks regular Red Army Men can only dream of.

And make no mistake, tank crews for the 18th are by now considered by everyone the best in business. Most of them veterans from the Invasion of Havvacor, their skills are honed through constant combat and rigorous training. On rare days off, the Rainmakers are just as legendary for their wild partying, prompting a rumor that their nickname is just as much due to the copious amounts of XXX they consume as to their fighting habits.
